Remembering Summer

I was thinking this morning how boring the snow was getting to be, so I looked back at my images.
I truly hope that spring comes soon.

At Flickr there is a group called Rural Decay. I entered this capture of what I see as rural decay in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Please notice the fog and mountains in the background contrasting with the general decay of this front yard.

Dragon Fly

This dragonfly was sitting above my head on the porch of a cabin on a lake in New Hampshire. I have never seen a Dragonfly this big before and I was fortunate that my camera was near by. The cabin is over a hundred years old, and there are sleeping accommodations that are actual bedrooms. However, I like sleeping on the porch and listening to the water slapping against the dock.

Dragons beginning

The beginning I would imagine is the hardest. So, since I want to share my photographs with the public to get feedback, Here we go!

I live in this great red cabin somewhere on the skirts of the White Mountains. As you can see it got very cold the night before. The snow fell for three days ending up with two feet of snow. And ice dripped off the roof.
After three days of being inside, except to gather wood from the woodpile, I decided to capture the sunshine and images.
